Payroll

Overview

The Payroll capability provides pay entry, general ledger payroll, and pay type analytics from the 365 Payroll BC extension — payslip amounts, GL payroll postings, and pay type distributions with employee-level demographic breakdowns.

This capability requires the 365 Payroll BC extension to be installed in the customer's BC environment.

Required BC Configuration — INSIGHT Balance Codes

The Pay Category classification, the selectable Pay Type Group, and all signed pay amounts depend on a set of Balance Codes in a balance group named INSIGHT that the payroll consultant maintains in 365Løn:

  • INSIGHT_LØN (Earnings), INSIGHT_GODER (Benefit), INSIGHT_FRADRAG (Statutory Deduction), and INSIGHT_AGBIDRAG (Employer Contribution) classify each pay type and drive the gross-to-net pay waterfall.
  • INSIGHT_LØNSUM defines a total-salary Pay Type Group, and the optional INSIGHT_OVERTID drives the Overtime Pay measure.
  • Each code's positive / negative pay-type filter lists its member pay types; the negative filter normalises amounts stored negative in the source.

Without this setup, pay types fall back to Pay Category N/A and the waterfall and overtime measures stay blank. See Payroll — BC to Power BI Mapping for the full setup steps.
