- Extract — Data is automatically extracted from your BC environment via standard APIs
- Transform — Raw data is cleaned, merged, and modeled into dimensional structures
- Load — Pre-built Power BI semantic models are refreshed with the latest data
- Report — Use pre-built reports or create custom reports on top of the semantic model
Multi-Company Support¶
All products support multi-company consolidation natively:
- Each BC company is extracted independently
- Company dimension enables cross-company filtering
- Business keys include company ID for proper isolation
- Reports show consolidated or per-company views
Frequently Asked Questions¶
How often is data refreshed?
Configurable per customer — typically daily. Direct extraction from BC APIs ensures data freshness.
Can I create my own reports?
Yes. The semantic model is deployed to your Power BI workspace in your Microsoft 365 tenant. Build any custom report on top of the pre-defined tables and measures using Power BI Desktop or the web interface.
What happens when BC adds new fields?
EV Insight uses BC’s standard API endpoints. New fields are supported as the solution evolves. Unknown values are handled gracefully and never break your reports.
Do I need coding skills?
No. The analytics layer and reports are pre-built. You only need Power BI Desktop or the Power BI web interface for custom reporting.
